Astrology and mankind

American Heritage Dictionary defines Astrology as the study of the positions and aspects of celestial bodies in the belief that they have an impact on the course of natural occurrences of earthly and human affairs. Planetary observation is the basis of astrology. The practice of astrology was in antiquity as well as widespread. History of astrology is an important part of civilization and goes back to the beginnings of humanity. Some of the known civilizations of the world uses this field in detail. For example, all Astrology at some point or other practices of the ancient Chinese civilization, the Egyptian civilization, the ancient Indian civilization, etc. Arabs practiced to astrology before the advent of Islam. Arabs were quite advanced in the field of astronomy.



The ancient Babylonians were likely to use the first, astrology. The Babylonians were the first to name the days of the week after the Sun, Moon and planets. They were also the first to set the 12 houses of the horoscope. Baghdad and Damascus were known as centers of astrology and astronomy in ancient times. India has a rich history of astrology. Time was also in Vedic Astrology practised in India. Astrology is one of the six disciplines of Vedanga. Ancient Hindu scriptures give to much emphasis on the different aspects of planetary movements and their impact on the people. Astrology still studied and practiced by many in India. It is considered to be crucial in Indian culture. It uses, decisions about marriage, on the basis of new companies and moving into a new House, etc.. The Hindus believe that human happiness or unhappiness in life due to karma and karma is believed to be influenced by the movements of the planets. Among the Hindus, the best spots on astrology are Brahmins. The astrologers in India claim that there is a scientific method to predict the future.
